Shearwater South Africa is a Durban based company that provide dedicated logistical and anti-piracy support services to MARSEC companies.
We have conducted business since 2010 in the sea ports of Durban, Richards Bay, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and Saldanha, and airports of Durban, Cape Town and OR Tambo, our services include:
- Obtaining all permits and documentation as required by the South African Police Services (SAPS)and Customs (SARS), enabling MARSEC personnel to transit , disembark, embark weapons and ammunition at all South African sea and air ports.
- Facilitate the embarkation and disembarkation of weapons & ammunition for storage or exit via South African international airports.
- Ensure that all roll players are familiar with and comply with South African legislation:
Firearms Control Act, Act 60 of 2000
National Ports Control (Port Rules) Act, Act 12 of 2005,
as well as all rules and regulations that may from time to time be amended and imposed by the respective authorities.
- We have an excellent working relationship with members of the Central Firearms Registry, DFO, Customs, and the Port Police Command.
- Shearwater directors are hands on and have an unblemished record in respect of operations in the respective ports.
